Virgo Season is a Portal for Change – But 6 Signs Have to Rest First

By Narayana Montúfar

Expect to feel a big energy shift! As the sun enters Virgo on August 22, you’re arriving at the end of the second eclipse season of 2026, a time of deep collective and personal transformation. On August 28, the full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces clashes with Uranus, the planet of the unexpected. If you’re able to ground yourself and calm your mind, this eclipse serves as a portal for profound psychic downloads and futuristic visions. Two weeks later, the September 10 new moon in Virgo brings fertile ground for any necessary changes to be implemented. When setting intentions, allow for intuition and imagination to be a part of your plan.

This Virgo season, relationships continue to take center stage as Venus enters Scorpio on September 10, bringing clues about what the upcoming love planet’s retrograde (early October) will mean for you. As Venus squares off with Pluto and Chiron between now and September 17, it becomes clear that something needs to be approached and healed within an important relationship. Since both Pluto and Chiron are backspinning, an issue from the past could be reappearing. The difference now is that regardless of the nature of what comes up — commitment, friendship, and even money — Venus in Scorpio seeks to expose the truth.

In 2026, Virgo season has a serious edge, challenging you to embody what this energy does best: getting things in order. On September 1, Mars in Cancer squares off with retrograde Saturn in Aries. When running into obstacles, the effort you invest in getting things right doesn’t go unnoticed. A similar energy repeats between September 14 and September 18, when Mercury in Libra clashes with Saturn. If constructive feedback from a boss or authority figure bruises your ego, harness your creativity to stay positive-minded.

Below is how Virgo season will affect you personally — make sure to read both your rising and sun signs for the full picture!

Aries

Tune in. The August 28 lunar eclipse activates your unconscious sector, opening a gateway for intuitive downloads to occur during meditative and dream states. Any ideas you download now could be decoded and implemented at the September 10 new moon, which holds a very practical tone for you.

Virgo season’s focus and diligence are helping you build something for your future, which you may get a grasp on around August 31, when Jupiter harmonizes with Saturn. You may run into obstacles along the way in the early stages (September 1 and September 18), which will help you perfect your strategy. All the effort this season requires will serve as the foundation you build on down the road. But with Chiron retrograding back into Aries on September 17, it’s crucial to take time to rest and restore your energy.

Taurus

The August 28 lunar eclipse shifts how you relate to the outside world, introducing people you may want to build community with or even collaborate with professionally. Two weeks later, the September 10 new moon kicks off a communication or creative project that’s been sitting in your mind and heart for some time.

When Venus enters Scorpio on September 10, you’re entering a four-month period of emotional depth, magnetic passion, and transformative intimacy. Between now and September 17, as Venus clashes with retrograding Chiron and Pluto, you may become aware of some deep internal shifts that are beginning to occur. During Leo season, Venus in Libra sparked some professional creative ideas — and during Virgo season, some of them begin to be carried forward around mid-September. When foundational work is happening behind the scenes, your intuition plays a big role in your future success.

Gemini

The potent August 28 lunar eclipse marks the end of a professional transformation that began in 2024. Whatever culminates or ends at this eclipse makes room for more of your energy to be directed toward your private life around the September 10 new moon.

Mindfulness is your biggest ally this season. Uranus — the planet of disruption and liberation — will be super-charged in your zone of identity as it goes retrograde on September 10. Creative, inspiring, and original ideas may reach you now, but you’ll have to ground yourself to fully understand them. Make sure to write them down, so you can decode them between now and February of 2027. Some of these ideas may take flight as Virgo season comes to a close due to Mercury in Libra awakening your creativity and desire to learn new tricks and skills.

Cancer

Expansive energy is available to you at the August 28 lunar eclipse, when a download or a message you receive helps you see the world in a new light. In the end, Virgo rules your sector of communication, meaning that what you learn and how you express yourself will greatly color your experience.

This Virgo season, it’s important to remember how time works. Saturn is activated in your zone of career and public visibility, meaning some tests are on the way. The first one, beginning on August 25 and peaking on September 1, requires small but steady efforts toward your goals. The second one, peaking around September 18, is about deep focus and clear communication. Since Saturn is retrograde, looking into the past may serve in figuring out your response, as does remembering you’re currently building a strong foundation for your future.

Leo

You have your eyes on the money this season. The August 28 lunar eclipse may bring a financial situation to an end, perhaps with a different result than expected. Two weeks later, this opens the door for a new budget to emerge at the September 10 new moon.

You are in the spotlight of Virgo season’s most positive astrological alignment. On August 31, Jupiter in Leo bonds with retrograde Saturn in Aries. You’re in the early stages of building a new sense of identity, which may require you to study a subject or begin working toward a new way of being in the world. The seeds you plant now will greatly develop by April and July of 2027, when this connection repeats two more times. Venus entering Scorpio on September 10 gives you insight into the personal shifts that will need to take place to get there.

Virgo

The August 28 lunar eclipse puts an end to a transformation around relationships that began back in 2024. With the lunar south node of destiny having exited Virgo as well, you may feel freer to begin a new state of being and approach the world during the September 10 Virgo new moon.

Communication — how you speak, but also how deeply you listen — plays a vital role for your career. As Uranus goes retrograde on September 10, while making positive connections with Mercury and Pluto, genius, out-of-the-box ideas come to you. This retrograde slows down the epic flow of change that is currently running through your professional life. Then, as Venus enters Scorpio and clashes with Pluto on September 15, you may get insight into how to better communicate with your colleagues or clients on a daily basis.

Libra

Virgo season is always a time to rest and recharge for you. Try giving yourself this gift, especially during this season’s major lunar events: The August 28 lunar eclipse, which brings work-related busyness, and the tender September 10 new moon.

You’d be smart to save your energy for when it matters most. On September 1 and September 18, Saturn makes a few tense connections, which may mean a business or personal partnership will require extra work or effort. An event or issue from the past may resurface — and luckily, a friend or collaborator may be able to help you figure it out. Do expect your overall mood to shift this season as Venus initiates its four-month journey in Scorpio. Starting September 10, you’ll feel more focused, introverted, and passionate. Scorpio rules your zone of money, heralding a shift in this area of your life once October arrives.

Scorpio

Virgo season’s lunar events, while positive for you, still herald a transformation in the way you socialize and enjoy life. The August 28 lunar eclipse, in particular, brings a shift in hobbies, desires, and perhaps even your dating life. The September 10 new moon opens the door to new friendships entering your life.

But the biggest news this season is the September 10 entrance of Venus into Scorpio. Instead of visiting for five weeks as it always does, Venus swims through Scorpio’s skies until January 7, 2027! While the actual transformation doesn’t begin until early October, you may begin feeling internal shifts in how you move through the world. Deep thoughts and conversations around how your past and your relationship have shaped you will become the norm. Any self-study or internal work you do now could unleash deep healing.

Sagittarius

A very personal story that may have begun in 2024 comes to a close at the electric August 28 lunar eclipse. This may free up a lot of your emotional energy, which you may direct toward your career. The September 10 new moon is the best of the entire year to plant the seed for the future.

It’s time to set roots. On August 31, Jupiter has a successful meet-up with retrograde Saturn in Aries. As the first of three meetings — the following two arriving in April and July of 2027 — it lays the foundation for a project close to your heart. The great passion you have for it may even see you embracing your inner hermit once Venus enters Scorpio on September 10. Over the next four months, your sensitivity to energy will deepen, making you more attuned to intuition and dreams.

Capricorn

Protect your psyche this season. The August 28 lunar eclipse may feel like communication overload, especially when you’re dealing with daily professional tasks. Allowing yourself some mental peace now and after the eclipse may help you give birth to groundbreaking, exciting ideas at the September 10 new moon.

Virgo season feels so incredibly fertile for you as Saturn receives a massive beam of energy from Jupiter in Leo. A seed you plant around August 31 develops into a full-blown project in April, then manifests into tangible results by July of 2027. During some of the toughest days — like September 1 and September 18 — it’s key to remember that solid foundations take time, love, and effort. Venus entering your professional collaboration sector on September 10 is bound to show you that, while some may extend a helping hand, it’s your job to come up with a winning strategy.

Aquarius

A financial situation that may have been present in your life since 2024 comes to an end at the August 28 lunar eclipse. This eclipse comes with a feeling of liberation, and it may open space for more different sources of income to begin entering your life around the September 10 new moon.

Virgo season’s soil is so fertile for you. Saturn receives the first of three fortunate connections on August 31. What you begin around this time has staying power and will develop in two more stages — in April and July of 2027. Uranus will supercharge you with insightful, creative ideas as it stations retrograde on September 10. Brainstorming, writing, and learning are your mind-expanding vehicles. If you decide to begin studying a new subject that fascinates you, you’re setting yourself up for success down the road.

Pisces

Virgo season will feel like no other. The August 28 lunar eclipse ends a transformation that began in 2024, all about manifesting your dreams and making your mark. This ending, or culmination, brings major liberation. For the first time since the Spring of 2011, no planets are traveling in Pisces! Post-eclipse, making an effort to feel into these energies can give you insight into how much you have transformed over the past 15 years.

The road is open for you to build something new, and with retrograde Saturn being super active this season, money is on your mind. Jupiter is harmonizing with Saturn in a major way on August 31, connecting your zone of work with your zone of money. A project you give birth to now could bear fruit down the road in April and July of 2027.
