The planets’ motions are tracked mathematically. In astrology, an “aspect” refers to the distance between the positions of the planets, measured through degrees. For example, planets 120º apart from one another create an aspect known as a “trine.” Planets 90º separated form “squares,” and planets that face each other at 180º form “oppositions.” Angles that point to positive relationships between the planets are “soft” aspects, while “hard” aspects reveal challenges between planets.
A Sanctuary astrologer can explain the aspects in your birth chart, as well as how the planets overhead (“transiting planets”) are impacting you.
